REDIFUEL
REDIFUEL aims to enable the utilization of various biomass feedstock for an ultimate renewable EN590 diesel biofuel (drop-in capable at any ratio) in a sustainable manner.
Uniresearch supports the project coordinator, the General Assembly and Work Package Leaders Board with managerial, organisational and secretarial duties, administration and archiving work.
The REDIFUEL partners work together to develop processes and technologies for producing drop-in renewable fuels, based on various biomass feedstock, for an ultimate renewable diesel biofuel.
The project goals are:
1) To develop chemical processes (Fischer-Tropsch & Hydroformylation) for producing biomass derived (renewable) drop-in fuels.
2) Scaling up of these processes for demonstrating production on a larger scale.
3) To develop a blending strategy for the drop-in fuels with the current diesel standards.
4) Showcasing the suitability of the newly biomass derived (renewable) drop-in fuels through testing them in Complete-Component Commonrail (CoCoS) test benches as well as test drives both on a dyno and on real roads.
5) To perform a viability performance check of the developed process(es) and to perform an overall impact assessment by the quantification of the environmental impacts along the entire supply and value chain.
The project consortium consists of 12 partners from six (6) EU countries.
