Cor van der Zweep
Maaike van der Kamp - Van Roosmalen
Maaike holds a PhD in Chemical Engineering from the Delft University of technology. After her Ph.D., she has worked for fifteen years at the FeyeCon group where she was project manager, team manager, QA Manager and COO (Chief Operations Officer) in the Netherlands as well as in France. She has prepared and managed various national and European projects (FP7, H2020). Since 2019 she is senior consultant and project manager at Uniresearch.
Jaap Struijk
Jaap worked for two years as associate professor at the Delft University of Technology after his PhD in Chemical Engineering & Catalysis. In 1994 he founded Uniresearch in which he now holds the position of director/CTO. He is active in set-up and managing innovation projects, business development and fund-raising, especially for SMEs and high-tech ventures. Project responsibility: GA member and overall responsibility for the preparative exploitation plan. Jaap is advisor for quality assurance and excellence.
Eric Feenstra
Eric is co-founder of Uniresearch and has been responsible for general management since 1997 in his capacity as CEO. From 2022, Eric will no longer be in charge of the day-to-day management of the company, but will advise the management on strategic issues, quality assurance and financial-legal matters. He also invests in tech start-ups and makes this experience available to Uniresearch colleagues and clients in the design and management of innovation projects for impact.
Anna Molinari
Anna has a PhD in Physics from the Delft University of Technology. Anna is senior grant consultant at Uniresearch since 2010 and has ample experience in managing framework program/H2020 projects. Anna is the liaison between Uniresearch and the Fuel Cells and Hydrogen Joint Undertaking and the coordinator of the FCH-JU funded project Fit4Amanda, among others. Anna is Italian native speaker and fluent in English. Her proposal writing expertise is very extensive, having handled 30+ winning applications, mainly on topics such as hydrogen and photovoltaics. She has a background in experimental and theoretical research on molecular electronics, field effect transistors and organic semiconductors.
Arjo Roersch van der Hoogte
Arjo has a PhD in history of science from the Utrecht University. He has experience in business and innovation history and project management. He joined Uniresearch in January 2019 as grant consultant and project manager. Arjo has experience in managing H2020 and Horizon Europe projects and has coordinated several Horizon project proposals, both in the field of battery and mobility topics. As project manager, Arjo is involved in three Horizon projects and his responsibilities include Grant proposal day-to-day management and coordination of dissemination activities. He coordinated several battery topic proposals.
Willem van Dorp
Willem is a specialist in technology, with a Bachelor of Science degree in chemical technology, Master of Science degree in materials science and a PhD in applied physics. He has over 10 years research experience in materials science, nanotechnology, surface chemistry and microscopy, and has authored 40+ peer reviewed publications, 4 of which with a Nobel prize winner. Willem is senior consultant at Uniresearch since 2016 and responsible for writing grant applications (Horizon Europe, Eurostar and national grants), day-to-day grant management and writing papers. In 2010 Willem obtained an NWO Veni grant (250k), has extensive international experience and has participated in various European and transatlantic projects.
Alessandra Lucini Paioni
Alessandra holds a MSc in Physics from the University of Pavia, Italy, and a PhD in applied physics from Utrecht University, The Netherlands. She conducted experimental and theoretical research studying complex molecular systems in life and materials science and gained extensive experience in (successful) multidisciplinary collaborations and international projects. Alessandra is Italian native speaker and fluent in English. She joined Uniresearch in 2021 as Grant consultant and project manager. She has experience with several Horizon project proposals where her responsibilities include R&D proposal development, proposal writing for European grant schemes, and day-to-day project management. Moreover, she is responsible for the projects’ exploitation and dissemination activities, where she promotes the implementation of Open Science practises. She is currently coordinating several European projects in the next generation battery and clean fuels sectors.
Anika Kiecana
Anika holds a MSc in Chemistry from Maria Curie-Sklodowska University in Poland and a PhD in Applied Sciences from Delft University of Technology. Her area of expertise includes catalysis, nanotechnology, and magnetism. During her PhD, she worked on magnetocaloric materials for magnetic cooling and heat recovery purposes, employing both experimental and theoretical methods. Anika is a native Polish speaker and is fluent in English. She joined Uniresearch in 2023, where she currently works as a grant consultant.
Anje Middelbos
Anje has a Master’s degree in International Relations from Leiden University. During and after her studies, she gained substantial work-experience in project assistance and project management at various public and private organisations. She joined Uniresearch in 2021. Anje has worked on various Horizon Europe proposals, being involved in the writing process (of the non-technical chapters), the budget allocations and justifications, and coordinating the overall processes. Next to this, she is also involved in various H2020 and Horizon Europe projects, focusing on project management, and dissemination and communication strategy and implementation. The topics of the proposals and projects Anje is involved in are mostly related to clean energy and sustainable transport.
Annemarie Mahieu
Annemarie has a background in logistics and communication. From 1998 – 2008 she was employed at TNO. After that she joined Uniresearch as a project manager. She is highly experienced in European project management dating back to the Framework 5, now managing H2020/Horizon Europe projects as well as CEF projects. Annemarie is an experienced project manager and operational coordinator. Furthermore, she has experience in organising events with 50+ participants, interactive workshops and conferences, both hybrid as on location or fully online. For 5 years she was responsible for the secretariat of the CIVITAS initiative and was responsible for 5 international Forums held.
Dion Terwiel
Dion holds an MSc degree in Life Science & Technology and a PhD in Biomolecular Imaging from Delft University of Technology. He has expertise in biochemical engineering, medtech, and biopharma. A native Dutch speaker and fluent in English, Dion joined Uniresearch as a grant consultant in 2025, bringing his knowledge and innovative approach to the team.
Martina Cotti
Martina holds a MSc in Materials Science and Engineering from TU Delft and will soon defend her PhD in Applied Physics at TU Eindhoven. During her PhD she became expert in a wide array of characterization methods to the discovery and improvement of the performance of salts as thermochemical materials. She is native Italian and fluent in English. She begins at Uniresearch as Grant Consultant in February 2025.
Michiel Muller
Michiel has a Master’s degree in Transport, Infrastructure and Logistics and a Bachelor’s degree in Technology, Policy and Management, both from Delft University of Technology. He has worked as a consultant at TNO (Mobility and Logistics Department) and has also worked for the European Automotive Research Partners Association (EARPA). In addition, he has set up and run a company in Internet-of-Things. In all roles he has worked on project proposals for various European and Dutch programmes.
Nicolas Ruitenbeek
Nicolas holds an MSc degree in Aerospace Engineering from Delft University of Technology, specializing in computational structural mechanics and AI development. He has gained valuable experience working with multiple deep-tech and med-tech start-ups in The Netherlands, where he developed novel 3D scanner technology and contributed to operations and strategy management. A native English speaker as well as fluent in French, Nicolas joined Uniresearch as a grant consultant in 2024, bringing his expertise to the team.
Piter Miedema
Piter holds a Master of Science degree in chemistry & Physics: Nanomaterials Science and obtained a PhD in Inorganic Chemistry in 2012. After his studies Piter gained working experience as a (senior) scientist at several (fundamental) research institutes in Germany, while covering a variety of fundamental and applied research topics and projects on material science and catalysis, before he started as a grant consultant at Uniresearch B.V. in 2021. He is responsible for grant application writing for both European and national projects in the area of hydrogen for aviation, efuels and hydrogen production. Piter is a Dutch native speaker and fluent in English and partially fluent in German.
Fleur Pijper
Fleur completed the bachelor’s degree in Communication, Media & Design. She is now an all-round, communications professional with more than 10 years of work experience in the field. In addition of taking care of the communications, she is also a part of the support team within Uniresearch. She likes to help and collaborate with her colleagues to achieve the best results. She has been working at Uniresearch since early 2024.
Monique van Baalen
Patty Noordeloos
Since May 2024, Patty has strengthened the support team at Uniresearch. With a completed education as an executive secretary and years of work experience, she enjoys taking on tasks to support and relieve others. Working in a team to achieve the best results is perfect for her.
Rachèl Lindemans
Rachèl plays a central role at Uniresearch in supporting all colleagues and facilitating their work. She enjoys arranging and organizing and relieving the team of administrative and facility tasks as much as possible. For example, she is involved in organizing and taking minutes of meetings, booking business trips, supporting in updating project websites and newsletters and reviewing reports. Rachèl has a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and has many years of experience in coordinating and specialist positions. She has been working at Uniresearch since the end of 2022.
